University Foundation Programs for international students implement training programs on Russian language and core subjects for foreign nationals who plan to pursue higher professional education in Russia. University Foundation Programs by International Academic Centre of Language and Development (IACLD CPE ANCO) provide preparation for the University’s entrance examinations for the Russian Universities.
1 YEAR: 2 semesters (September – August): Recommended for applicants with A1 (Elementary) level of Russian:
1,5 YEAR: 3 semesters (April – August ): knowledge of the Russian language is not required:

SESSION SCHEDULE: Monday — Saturday, 25-30 hours per week (1 academic hour = 45 minutes)
PROGRAM DURATION:
COURSE OBJECTIVES: The programs are designed for training international students with limited or no Russian language proficiency. Candidates are able to enrol in the foundation program upon presenting proof of eligibility to enter a Russian higher education institution, including documentation of prior education.
COURSE CONTENT: During the foundation program students study the Russian language as well as the main subjects corresponding to the selected major which are necessary to enter the chosen degree programme (BA or MA). The foundation program (30 ac. hours per week) corresponds to the state program of pre-university (foundation) training and includes both the Russian language courses and the training in core disciplines such as mathematics, biology, chemistry etc. The training is provided within four different study majors: humanities, natural sciences, engineering and technology, biomedicine sciences.
In case of successful completion of the program participants receive the state certificate of test of Russian as a foreign language (TORFL-1 — first degree TORFL test or TORFL-2), which is a prerequisite for further education at Russian universities, as well as a certificate from International Academic Centre of Language and Development (IACLD CPE ANCO) listing the courses and hours taken.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Foreign nationals aged 18 and above who have completed secondary education. Those applying for admission to a bachelor’s, full-master’s or specialist diploma program must provide secondary school certificates or their recognized equivalents entitling applicants for higher education. Those applying for admission to a master’s program must provide their bachelor’s certificates. Those applying for admission to a doctoral program must provide their master’s certificates or specialist diplomas.





The main subjects of these majors are the Russian language and the Professional Russian (according to selected majors). In addition to that the curriculum includes the core subjects for each major.
